It was founded in 1419
H. by virtue of the initiative of His Royal
Highness Prince Majid Bin
Abdulaziz (bless his soul) under the name
of “Makkah Al-Muikarramah Society for Development
and Social Services” (pursuant to the provisions
of the Bylaw of Charity Establishments,
issued under the Resolution of the Council
of Ministers No. 107, dated 25/6/1410 H.,
and the Bills of Implementation thereof,
issued by virtue of the Minister of labor
and Social Affairs No.760, dated 30/1/1412
H. and the instructions issued in respect
thereto.
It was registered in
the Register of charities in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia, under No. 174, dated 22/3/1421
H.
The name of the Society
was amended to read “The
Society of Majid Bin
Abdulazizfor
Development and Social Services” by virtue
of the Decision of His Excellency the Minister
of Social Affairs, No. 6/24428/A, dated
27 Rabi’ Awal 1427 H.
